Explosive Kraft, messerscharfe Kontrolle

Awesome binding, besides the fact that it craks.

Very stiff, very responsive, awesome dampening, quick in and out, super adjustability, sadly after only a frew days of riding the NX2 Carbon the base stress-cracked in two spots. Without a doubt the best feel, unfortunately too weak materials used in production.

Can't go back to regular bindings!

To preface, I'm 43 years old with ride about 3-4 days a year for the last 5 years. Had the Flows nx2 hybrid for awhile now. Tried the Carbons Fusion for the for time in December and they were great!!! I absolutely love the fusion strap, the response is like no other.

Getting in and out is no problem. If you take away 1 or 2 ratchet clicks from your normal, you can get in and out with no problems without sacrificing responsiveness.

I like to do butters and ground tricks so I opted for the Flows over the Supermatics, no regrets!

I paired them with my DC judge boots and Bataleon disaster plus. In 2 weeks I'll pair them up with my Weston Hatchet!

Ps. I tried to convert my old hybrids to the fusion straps, but I aborted that and got these instead. Now I have 2 different type of straps. The customer service was great!

Hi there!

Thank you for your amazing review of the Flow NX2 Carbon bindings. We're thrilled to hear that you love the fusion strap and that it has completely changed your binding experience. It's great to know that they work well with various boots and boards.

Happy shredding!

Not easy to get in / out at all.

This season I wanted to try something different, so I bought the Nidecker Flow NX2 Carbon bindings and rode them a few times. First, the positives. The bindings are stiff, responsive, and feel great while riding. Edge control is excellent, and despite their stiffness, they are still fun to ride—even in the park, at least for my riding style. The build quality feels premium and very solid. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end for me. Getting in and out of the bindings is a nightmare. I ride DC Judge BOA boots, which have angled rubber blocks on the heel. Because of this, I simply can’t push the boot far enough into the binding for the highback to fully close into the upright, locked position. The boot gets stuck at the heel, and I have to wiggle it around until it finally sits well enough. Only then can I lift the heel slightly and raise the highback. Yes, I can loosen the straps—but at that point, the whole Flow “slip-in” concept completely loses its purpose. If I have to adjust the straps every time, there’s no real advantage over classic bindings. The step-in system really only works on flat terrain. On steep slopes—such as park or pipe starts—where I prefer to take it easy, sit down, strap in, and wait for my turn before riding, it’s simply not usable. You can’t slide your foot in from the back at that angle, so you’re forced to undo the straps anyway, which again completely defeats the purpose of a quick-entry system.

Hi MP,

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for the Flow NX2 Carbon bindings. We are happy to hear that you have enjoyed the responsiveness and edge control of the bindings. We apologize for any difficulty you have experienced with getting in and out of the bindings. We understand that this can be frustrating and we appreciate your feedback. Our team is constantly working on improving our products and we will take your comments into consideration for future designs. If you have any further concerns or questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We want to ensure you have the best experience possible on the mountain.

Happy riding!

I’ve been using these bunnies for years

I’ve been using these bunnies for years. I love them. They are total rockstar bindings.
I come off the left. I put my foot in pull the back up and I’m gone like a scare. I ride with skiers and it’s ridiculous. How snowboards have to sit on their butt to put their needs on. Lol
They perform beautifully. I carve hard and I love technical tight stuff through the trees. I’m always off trail and hard carving the groomers. Wouldn’t trade these for anything.

Handling perfect, quality low

Hi, I had the binding for 2 seasons. Handling, stiffness, comfort and respone are perfect. But at the end of the two seasons the alumium base was brocken several times at both bindings. Luckily I came down the hill and nothing happend.
After reclamation the money for the bindings were directly refunded.
Nevertheless, I will buy it again.

Hey Tom,

Thank you for your review! Although we wished we could have given you a better experince with your bindings, we appreciate your candid response of how you felt. We value these reviews so greatly, which is helping our brand push out better and better products. Thank you for being a loyal customer and I can promise the quality is only up from here.

Best stiff carving binding on the market!

Best stiff carving binding on the market! Wish the highback rotated but it's still the smallest footprint binding hands down! Great job guys!

They're pretty good

I kind of expected even more rigidity, but they're alright.

Not for everybody. . .

Weight - no worries about that
Straps - don't work properly with my K2 Thraxis boots, getting in and out takes even longer than with a regular bining. . . and the straps hurt, but do the job perfectly (feel super locked in) and therefore I can live with it. Anyhow, I can understand that for many other costumers this would be a deal breaker. The Ride as I said is secure as expected, exactly what I was looking for.

First flow and in love

My first quick entry system, and boy do they satisfy. The responsiveness of these bindings is off the charts: took em out on an empty resort morning for some turns and wow.

They feel like regular bindings in terms of responsiveness and latch, then adding on the quick entry makes it an absolute dream.

I did have to adjust it off snow once, then once again on snow due to it being too tight for entry. So just two adjustments for me and it worked wonders.

Only drawback is that my thighs were absolutely bombed out due to getting in runs at too fast of a pace!

Will try taking these off piste and report back! Definitely recommend.

Fantastic

Dedicated big mountain flow rider. Paired these with my apex orca and couldnt be happier. Truly set and forget step in-out, and lock you in like no other can.

They got this one right. Carbon and less screws

Ive been snowboarding since 1996 and have been on Flow bindings from the start. I go off piste a lot and some times you cliff yourself out where you have to climb back up as its your only way out. The rear entry is a god send when you have to get out of your bindings. I use a safety strap so it doubles as a sling. I need a stiff binding and these NX2 Carbon are great. Carbon is strong like steel. I have had previous versions and one beef of mine was the back support where they had two parts/sections which were screwed together and with use they would loosen . They finally got it right and it is now one piece. Great idea with the foot plate and getting rid of the **** for easier access to the binding **** plate.

Love these!

Ive been riding Flows for many years and recently got these after wearing my old ones out after hundreds of days of hard riding.
My boots have a sticky Vibram sole which made getting into the old bindings a bit difficult without loosening the top straps.
These new ones have a smooth surface which the boots slide over and pop right in. I also like the ratchet lock so that if you step on the binding they dont tighten up accidentally.
I ride with some fast skiers that dont wait for a snowboarder to get his bindings done up and I dont like to be at the back of the pack which is why I ride Flows.

NX2 Carbon Flows

Love these bindings. Just had two weeks breaking them in at Whistler Blackcomb. Snug but stiff and responsive. If I had to criticize anything it was that it took a little while for the rachet locks to bed down. On a number of occasions, they popped up when I slapped the board down to remove snow. After the first week it didn't happen again, just keep an eye out for it. Thoroughly recommend them.

Another great set of bindings

Really nicely made bindings, lightweight, highly adjustable, easy to use.

3 rides

After 3 rides I have 1 issue with these bindings. My boot doesnt slide in easily on the pad. My old flow bindings were a breeze and I could slide my foot in and secure the heal without stopping when I got off the chair. With the NX2 I have to stop, loosen the toe strap, kneel, fasten the heel and re tighten the toe strap. These bindings are a step backwards at a very high price.

Great product design.

Bindings are great, the offset of the hinge gives a little extra space to slide my boot in. Its a little narrow for my Burton boots, but I blame the back of the boots for that. Overall awesome set of bindings.

The Game Changer

The NX2-CX is the perfect binding for those looking for a stiff, responsive binding. I coupled these to a Never Summer Ripsaw, and the ride was absolutely amazing. Flow changed the game for Ski Patrollers. No more waiting for the boarder strap-in. Now the rest of the patrol has to keep up with me.

Great feel, very easy to use, ratchet broke after only a few easy sessions.

Bought a pair of these for myself last year and definitely fell in love with the ride. I was happy to find a quality rear-entry binding that I liked. However after only a few relatively easy sessions at my local slopes, the top ratchet on my right binding stopped releasing. As hard as I tried, it would NOT disengage the strap. The main problem with the whole situation is that Ill occasionally have the ratchet slip down a tooth on the strap while riding the lift up and will not be able to fit my boot in the binding to ride down. After having to ride down the hill on my stomp pad a few times I decided to call it a day. Ive been trying to fix it ever since and even contacted the company that I bought them from with no luck. I will have to go back to using my old beat up alphas for now.

You are looking for this! The NX2-CX are excellent

The NX2-CX bindings are super-stiff and match my quick response of my snowboard and boots. It gives me an excellent feeling! Exactly what I'm looking for ;-) Also, they are extremely easy for getting in and out, which everyone knows about the flow bindings :-)
It would be a plus if the text on the bindings were in fluorescent yellow.
