Kaon-X 2021

These are the first of two sets of Kaon-X's I purchased for this season--this set is on my daily driver and the other is on my beginner-lesson teaching board, and I really love both sets (I also own a set of Supermatics) I'm starting to move towards more forgiving gear the older I get (this is season 35, at age 57), and these perform exactly as I hoped they would-- just the right blend of flexibility (without being too soft) in the highback is just what I was looking for.

Colour is definitely orange, rather than yellow as it seems in pictures (see YouTube videos for actual colour)

Base foam is firm and provides a solid platform. Could make it more plush in next versions.

Straps are comfortable and ratchet easy, effortlessly fitting my boots. Perhaps redesign the toe ladder to be moved out of the way easier, as I'm costsantly having to hold it out of the way when putting on the binding.

Overall, I'd give it a 3. 8/5 since I bought it on sale and don't mind the orange as it still matches my kit. Please make sure your images of the product are more true to actual colours, fix the toe strap issue and increase base foam thickness by about 3mm and I think this could be a 5/5.

This binding is built well and is very comfortable. My favorite part is that the size Large accommodates boots from 8-11.5. Nidecker has 4 sizes of bindings meaning my size 10.5 fits perfectly into a size Large and allows me to better center my foot between the toe and heel edge. My only negative feedback would involve limited forward lean adjustment, a soft flex I think due to the connection between the heel cup and the base, and the high back connection points wear on the ankle of your boot. I like the bindings 6.5/10

I have ridden them for a few days now and I like them. The only thing that isn't great is the fact that the toe straps won't lay flat/all the way forward when the are undone. This is a pretty basic concept that makes other bindings nicer to step into because you can get all of the straps out of the way.

I am super duper ultra mega giga happy with bindings. Totaly fulfiling my expectations, easy to set up, very comfortable and not too stiff. Inlove with the flex! Just bought these bindings to replace my old Burton Custom bindings and I'm more than happy. Lightweight, great board control and more than enough options to customize.

Best bang for your buck

Is it possible to adjust heelcup?
If its not, than I have a problem with L size binding and a Triton boot size 42 adjustments as the forward lean lever drowing inside, without touching the heelcup.

Never really thought about getting Nidecker bindings, but saw these at a good price so I gave them a shot. I was really surprised at how great these feel and ride. Really solid binding for a solid price

Can't really go wrong with this binding for the price. The look is cool, they are easy to set up, the out-of-the-box performance is brilliant and nothing's broken in weeks of use. Super happy with my Kaons! Thanks Nidecker.

The bindings kept me to my board perfectly. Not to snug where it hurts but firmly where I can barely feel if they were on but no issues. Moe likely due to technology put into it. All tightens exactly over boot. Where in older bindings used fel the tight areas and ier time numbs my foot. These don't do that
