Key Features

Get Them Hooked

The Micron introduces groms to snowboarding in the easiest possible way. When they’re really small and wriggly, convenience is super important; you don’t want to be wrestling your kid into their binding or confusing them with constant ratchet adjustments. The Flow Design system makes it quick and easy to get them ready to shred, while the softer flex is perfect for getting to grips with turning and just standing comfortably in a snowboard stance.
  • The Micron's reclining hiback gets groms ready to drop in faster. It’s easy for parents or kids to operate and enables more laps, more fun, and more progression.
  • With the Uni-Fit Fusion strap, kids can enjoy awesome control without having to crank the ratchets as tight as regular two-strap bindings. That means comfier, warmer feet.
  • The included Multi-Disk that makes the Micron compatible with any board featuring the standard 4-hole pattern.

Forgiving and fun. A soft binding helps lighter riders control their board more easily and builds confidence when dialing those first turns.

Tech Details

  • BASEPLATE

    Nylon+ Micron

Built from the same bombproof material as our standard adult baseplates, the Micron gives kids the perfect platform for progression. Its soft flex is fun and forgiving, while rockered corners aid natural board flex. 30% Glass Fiber / 70% Nylon

  • HIGHBACK

    POM Micron Uniback

Our Micron highback is forgiving enough for kids to control and start finding their style, but together with the PowerTriangle cable it offers plenty of support for linking turns. Folds totally flat for hassle free entry and exit. 100% POM

  • STRAP

    Uni-Fit Fusion

A traditionally-stitched strap with a squishy foam core, downsized to fit our kids Micron boots. Its all-in-one Fusion shape enables easy entry into Flow Design bindings and covers more of the boot, enhancing power transfer.

  • BUCKLES

    Micron Latch

A simple system of oversized latches to adjust the footstrap on our smallest Flow Design binding. Lock them down for easy entry and exit through the reclining hiback.

Extras

  • Kids Micron Disk (4HP+3HP)

Kids Micron bindings come with two sets of disks: one for 4-hole patterns and one for 2-hole patterns. Note – Channel-compatibility is currently not a feature.

Awesome bindings, kids love them.

These are awesome and the kids love them. They are easy to use even for kids, my 6 year old can do and undo them even with his gloves on which is great. I still give them 5 stars, but they do need one thing. For some reason, there is no foam padding over the screws. This creates ice buildup which is very frustrating to the kids since you can feel it under the boot (my kids are advanced riders at a young age but I'm sure anyone could feel this). And he has ripped gloves on the screws trying to get the ice off when we dont have a tool. Someone please update this. Otherwise, they are great.

My son Definitely get more

My son Definitely get more runs in with how fast he gets in and out of them once it is set right. It was tough the first few runs to find the happy medium too tight to get out and too loose.

Our entire family uses flow

Our entire family uses flow bindings and have enjoyed them. I like the upgraded ratchet on these however getting these bindings set has been more difficult since the heel of my daughters boot wont slip out without loosening the binding strap.

Look great and very sturdy.

I was worried when I order these bindings. I bought a pair of Burton StepOn for myself and wanted to buy one for my son. Unfortunately, there is no StepOn system for kids yet. So I met a few friends who suggested to go with Flow Bindings. They own them and were completly sold for it. So, I decided to go ahead and buy a pair for my son. When I received them, I was impressed. Very well made. Seems actually a better system then my StepOn. i'm actually surprise we don't see them more around. Great Bindings!!!

Flow! Gives us active strap for the groms as well

I've ridden Flow bindings for well over a decade, so naturally bought the same when my children got interested.
These are well made. No complaints on quality and finish. I like the style too.
But they have brought back memories of my original Freeride Pros: fiddley to adjust and get setup to work nicely.
The base is wide, but the high back heel cup is narrow, so my daughter often needs help smashing her foot forward so she can lift the highback.
Why is there no youth option with the active strap? I'd pay more! It is the feature that ended my fear of adjusting my bindings after years of spending the first days on the slope getting the flows adjusted just right and leaving them set for the season.

Please Nidecker, give us the same easy use features for our children as we get, active strap and hybrid power strap.
