LOST AND FOUND IN JAPAN

There's a reason Hokkaido burns in the imagination of snowboarders everywhere. Just as the geography of Indo makes it a wave machine, the climate here is like nowhere else on earth. Cold Siberian air sweeps across the Sea of Japan, loading up with moisture before slamming into the mountains of the north island and dumping ridiculous amounts of perfect yuki. It's a powder conveyor belt that rarely stops running.

This dreamy landscape was the ideal testing ground for our Bio Series – three organic shapes built for finding your flow. Director Sam McMahon took Taylor Gold, Mela Stalker, Cooper Branham and Sebby K deep into the island's backcountry, capturing big airs and bottomless turns amidst its frozen forests. Shot using cutting-edge Ember camera technology, the visuals unfold frame by frame, tracing the subtle connection between rider and mountain.

The result is HOKKAIDO – a love letter to our favorite playground, and a tribute to the place that exists between nature's design and a rider's perception.
