Swing For The Fences

The Escape Plus is an all terrain powerhouse that excels going big and fast. Built on the same versatile shape as its younger brother, it ups the ante with a classic camber profile and full length carbon stringers to deliver explosive pop and precise edge control. The harder you push this board, the more it gives back – whether you're dropping burly cliffs or sending it off the XL line.

Key Features

  • The Escape Plus features our Master Core. Two species of wood (poplar and paulownia) are combined to give the best of all worlds: light, strong and responsive.
  • Pop Carbon is deployed on both sides of the core and from tip to tail, beefing up the flex. Ideal for aggressive riders who want snappy edge response, tons of pop and a smooth ride at high speeds.
  • Full camber spring-loads the board from tip to tail, helping the whole edge maintain contact with the snow and boosting response.

Tech Details

  • Construction

    Premium Sandwich

A step up from our standard sandwich construction that adds carbon stringers for more pop, quicker edge response and improved shock absorption.

  • Topsheet

    Absorbnid

An innovative top layer designed to absorb unwanted vibrations. Enjoy a smooth ride with less fatigue.

  • Inserts

    4x2/6

6 rows of inserts at 2 cm intervals gives you maximum choice of stance width and works with any binding on the market.

  • Fiberglass

    Triax Plus

Fiberglass is woven in three directions at 45° for max stiffness. The result of extensive testing, Triax Plus uses different glass densities above and below the core to deliver more consistent torsional flex, better pop, and lightning response.

  • Core

    Light Core

An ultra lightweight core based on a lively combination of poplar and paulownia. Hardwood beech stringers down the centre enhance the overall strength and boost pop.

  • Base

    N-7000 Extruded Plus

Developed exclusively for Nidecker, the N-7000 Extruded Plus combines the durability and low-maintenance of an extruded base with the hardness of a sintered one. Minimum effort, maximum glide.

  • Added Carbon

    Pop Carbon Plus

Pop Carbon is deployed on both sides of the core and from tip to tail, beefing up the flex. Ideal for aggressive riders who want snappy edge response, tons of pop and a smooth ride at high speeds.

Great for riding, but of weak quality

The camber extends from the tip of the nose to the end of the tail. It cuts through the slope like a razor when carving! It smooths out the unevenness. The sensations from riding are TOPS!
The topsheet on the tail started to chip after just a few days of riding.
When buying a snowboard for this kind of money, I expected higher quality. My old USD Pro, which cost $150, still looks excellent after 5 years of riding! And here, for a board that isnt cheap, the topsheet is already chipping. Dislike!

All-Mountain with carving focus

Tl;DR Carves well, and is decent the rest of the mountain.

Always a trade off when you got an all-mountain board.
As. advertised, the escape plus has a good edge hold on groomers and is able to carve tight, medium and wide turns. At slow and medium speed is stable. At high sped, on late day groomers, the nose will start to chatter.
On technical terrain, glades and moguls, I've needed to be more agressive on my weight transfer to initiate my turns faster. . But once turning, it will hold well, assuming you can absorb the bumps.
On freestyle, has a nice pop. Board is not easy to butter, and press, but will hold a press if you put the energy into the board.

It is a fun board to ride!

I am a CASI level 2 evaluator, snowboard instructor trainer for long time.

This board is very fun to ride, all mountain, powder groom and park. This board can do everything.

It is not a stiff board so, you dont have to be heavy you dont need a lot of speed to bend the board.
It snaps back well, has very good edge hold too.

I love it.

poor quality board

after a few days of riding the top layer started to come off, with minor impacts (gondola, skiers etc. ) the top layer chips off. The top layer is not hardened at all!I would like to show pictures but I can't upload them
