Key Features

The Altai-W is the centrepiece of our new women’s boot collection, offering premium features and freeride-friendly support at an unbeatable price. It’s built around an asymmetrical upper that fits perfectly with Nidecker and Flow binding straps, eliminating pressure points. The Dual BOA lacing system features textile-coated laces and twin dials to allow you to control the upper and lower sections independently. Underneath, our lightweight B.F.T Gravity 2.0 outsole delivers awesome cushioning and traction, with a rubber toe-tip to boost grip when hiking over ice and rock. We’ve smoothed out the connection between the outsole and the boot via a molded section we call the Transition Zone, eliminating the usual hard edge to prevent it from getting caught in your binding’s heelcup. A tough rubber print on the toe box protects the boot and adds a touch more style. Inside, we’ve introduced a cosy new Silver liner made from the snuggest materials; it’s comfortable straight out the box – with good wriggle room for your toes – and heat-moldable for a custom fit. The Altai is a mid-stiff model with plenty of lateral support, making it great for laying down carves in resort or threading lines through the trees. If you love the art of the turn, you’ll love this boot.
  • The Altai W's lightweight Gravity+ outsole delivers awesome cushioning and traction, with a rubber toe-tip to boost grip when hiking over ice and rock.
  • Our Transition Zone tech seamlessly connects the Altai's sole to the Exo Spine, accelerating response and preventing damage to the back of the boot when entering or exiting the binding.
  • The Altai W's heat-moldable Silver Liner allows you to customize the fit if you need to but is comfortable straight out the box.

Tech Details

  • BOA® Fit System

    H4 Coiler

Ready for anything, designed to withstand. The bombproof BOA® H4 Coiler is built for the most demanding riders and resists impacts from park to pow. Its efficient mechanism rapidly takes up lace slack, increasing speed of entry.

  • HEEL LOCK

    3D Liner Support

Awesome foot hold that starts right inside the liner, with 3D molded material and J-bars around the ankle. Minimal movement, maximum control.

  • OUTSOLE

    Gravity +

Constructed from a single piece of bombproof and lightweight EVA, our Gravity+ outsole delivers great cushioning underfoot. The tread pattern is inspired by snowcat tracks, with a rubber section at the toe for reliable grip in icy conditions.

  • LINER CLOSURE

    Shell Harness

Pull the inner laces to tighten a shell-mounted harness. Touch fastener secures the tongue.

  • INSOLE

    3D Dual Density

Anatomically designed to cradle your foot and constructed from two densities of EVA, with firmer material supporting the heel cup and arch. A fleece-lined footbed with silicone top-print keeps you warm and secure.

  • FEATURES

    BOA®

The industry standard in speed lacing systems. Micro-adjustable for a precise fit and engineered to perform in the toughest conditions.

Extras

  • 3D Molded Tongue

Our asymmetric 3D Molded Tongue features a sharper curve on the medial side to match your natural forefoot shape. This design minimizes pressure points and delivers more balanced comfort and support than a traditional straight tongue.

  • Asym 3F

A unique asymmetrical design co-developed with BOA® for balanced support and flex. The tongue's lace guides are positioned over flatter forefoot areas for even closure and reduced pressure points. Enhanced medial arch support fights foot fatigue.

  • Articulating Flex Zone

The upper boot cuff is asymmetrically connected to the lower boot, allowing the ankle to flex naturally and providing great support without shell distortion.

  • Rubber Backstay

A durable section at the back of the boot that protects it from wear. Our unique Transition Zone™ means the rubber is bonded smoothly to the outsole with no ridges, minimizing any snags when you enter or exit your bindings.

On the small side

Ordered these boots and I was super excited. They look good and seem like good quality but they definitely fit on the smaller side. I usually wear size 38.5/39 shoes and got these in size 39.5 which is pretty tight! Seems too tight even considering them loosening up. Perhaps I need the mens boots for my foot shape or try a size up? I will see what Ill do about it.. just fyi so try ordering a size up.
Hope I get this all sorted before the season starts!

These boots elevated my riding

Granted, I had the same pair of Burton lace up boots for the last 15 years, they were the only pair I ever rode in. So any upgrade would be a good one. That is not to discredit the Altai boots, they are incredibly comfortable, snug for narrow feet, and supportive for all day all mountain riding. Love love love them!

Beautiful Boots. My First Pair Ever! :(

I bought these boots for a couple of reasons. First, I lived in Germany and love German/Swiss culture and wanted to buy boots from that region. Second, they are so so pretty! I have only one criticism and its so frustrating. I bought the black and pink ones. I tried putting them on for the first time this weekend and the loop on the back pulled halfway out of the stitches on the back of them on the left boot. Its so frustrating and so sad honestly. It was an easy fix. I think the loop should be like triple stitched to insure that the loops can be utilized for the purpose they are there. To pull on the boots. They fit, but it tore when trying to pull on the boot. If they were to like reinforce the stitching in that area, the boots would be perfect. But I love them and will probably take them to a repair shop locally to have them reinforced on fixed. Otherwise, no complaints. The boots are beautiful. Buy them. But be careful with the loop on the back. :)
